Pacific Poaching? Ocean Warming 15 Times Faster Than in Past 10,000 Years

Pacific Poaching? Ocean is Warming 15 Times Faster Than in the Past 10,000 Years says a new study, reports Jason Samenow at the Washington Post. Sediment cores spanning this period indicate that the mid depths started cooling slowly from roughly 7,000 years ago til about 400 years ago, when the waters started to gradually warm – until the last 60 years, that is, which shows an abrupt spike in temperatures at a rate 15 times faster than that of any other period. That’s instantaneous, by geologic time scales.

This is an ongoing campaign (the next Congressional election is in 2 years!) so please, spread the word. It’s our way of telling Congress that a strong clean energy voting bloc is out there. This is how YOU can make a difference.
