17 Foundations Pledge To Divest Their Stocks Of Fossil Fuels, reports Katie Valentine at Climate Progress. The foundations pledged to invest in companies working in renewable energy, efficiency and other environmental causes. Controlling about $2 billion in investments, they have joined to form the Divest-Invest Philanthropy, an organization that includes groups such as the Ben and Jerry’s Foundation, the Park Foundation and the Wallace Global Fund. Hey, all you foundations out there – join the club!
Join the swelling numbers of voters TELLING Congress they’ll vote for Clean Energy candidates here: http://signon.org/sign/we-are-the-clean-99?source=c.em.cp&r_by=487176 . This is an ongoing campaign (the next Congressional election is this year!) so please, spread the word. It’s our way of telling Congress that a strong clean energy voting bloc is out there.
