The GOC says climate change is one of the key threats to the health of the world’s marine life, which it says faces multiple pressures in a warming world. The climate change threat is 3-fold to ocean waters : it raises temperatures, depletes oxygen, and acidifies the water, making it difficult for marine life to build shells and skeletons.
