Jet Stream Runs Amok

Am in South Africa with an often weak connection, so am just now catching up with posts. This is from 2 weeks ago, and check at the ClimateReanalyzer.org site to see what the jet stream is doing now. The take-home message, though, is that the jet stream will continue to act bizarrely as it weakens from the melting of Arctic ice. And when that happens, expect abnormal weather patterns globally…

OO Winds flowing north from just west of Hawaii, through the Bering Strait, over the North Pole and on into the North Atlantic as seen by NOAA’s GFS model and imaged by Earth Nullschool.

OO Jet Stream So Weak Winds Are Running From Pacific to Atlantic Across the North Pole – this is truly bizarre. The Arctic circumpolar jet stream pattern appears to be breaking up.
